- 스트레스에 취약하다던OTL 로브로브스키를 썼습니다. 몇마리 죽었다 합니다.
대충 어떤 의도로 만들어 졌는지는 의역하자면
햄스터를 '위한다'는 이유로 햄스터 볼에 햄스터를 집어 넣고 굴려 놓고는 '그들을 위해서 디자인 된거니까 학대는 아니다'라고 말하고 생각하고. 햄스터 회사가 말하는 그들을 풀어 주지 않고 행복하게 운동 시킬 수 있습니다! 라는 말을 믿는 수 많은 애완동물 주인들을 비난하기 위해 만든 것 같...습니다? 제가 제대로 해석한지 모르겠네요.

in SAVE THE PETS(1) (2008) 100 hamsters were put in transparant plastic balls, which are produced by the pet industry to give people the idea that they could "free" their pets (hamsters),without having natural properties of the animal charge of their natural behavior. They moved around in a livingroom-setting, built by me, during the three weeks of the exhibition. This installation was actually a reconstruction of a collection youtube homevideo's , which were made by owners of these pets worldwide. The project formed, beside a reflection of the concept ` freedom ' in combination with a doubtful preference for such a form of`entertainment ' an indication of citizen culture, in which almost an extreme morality concerning the protection of pleased ` pets, goes hand in hand with cheap and mechanically obtained food and decorative objects, where inferior dear animals are systematically used for.. |
Almost 18 plus 시리즈
18세 이하의 성적 행위는 소아성애로 취급하면서 엄격하게 취급하면서, 정작 18세 이하의 성적 행위에 대한 사이트는 성황을 이루는 현실을 비판한 겁니다.
유일하게 동물 관련 작품이 아닌 그림 작품들로 이루어진 시리즈입니다.
등이 있습니다.
일단 동물 박제한 작품들만 퍼왔구요,
어떤 의도로, 뭘 비판하기 위해, 왜 이런 작품들을 만들었는지에 대해서 정리 했습니다.
솔직히 어떤 의도로 이런 작품을 만들었는지는 알겠고, 꽤나 신선하게 눈길을 끄는 방식이라는 것도 부정할 수 없습니다만...
그래도 저는 굳이 이런 방법을 이용하지 않아도 충분히 메세지를 전달할 수 있는데
(가짜 모형을 만든다거나, 미리 죽은 시체를 가져와서 박제를 하는 둥..) 살아있는 동물을 사서 죽이는 것은 옳지 않다
라고 생각해서 별로 안 좋아 뵈는건 사실이네요.

어느날 이베이에서 발견한 박제를 보고 반해서, 그 박제사의 홈페이지에 들어가봤다고 하네요. 그리고 그 박제사의 이야기를 보고 반해서 그 사람의 작품을 수집하기 시작했고, 그게 박제 예술의 시작이 되었답니다. 그녀가 자신의 MUSE(예술적으로 영감을 주는 사람)이라고 합니다. Around April 2003, while browsing 'taxidermy objects' on e-bay, I found an unusual object made by someone who named herself
'Amy Taxidermy'.
She intrigued me and and I immediately wanted to know more about her.
On her profile I found a link to her website and blog...
From that moment on I started collecting her works viae-bay, and the personal stories on her weblog became an important inspiration.
Now, 10 years after she posted her first blog, I can say
she is my muse.
