맥주 6 캔을 주문한 사형수의 요청을 거부 했다.
알코올은 반입이 안된다는 규정때문이다.
그사형수는 미국시간 내일 저녁 7시에 사형이 집행된다.
A death row inmate's last meal request for a six pack of beer has been denied.
The
Georgia Department of Corrections said in a news release that Marcus Ray Johnson's request was denied because alcohol is a contraband item.
Instead, Johnson will receive the same meal as other inmates — baked fish, cheese grits, dry mixed beans, cole slaw, cornbread, cookies and fruit punch — before his execution. He is scheduled to die at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Johnson was convicted in the March 1994 rape and murder of Angela Sizemore, a woman he'd met in a south Georgia nightclub.
Johnson's attorneys argue he shouldn't be executed because doubts remain about his guilt. Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards says there is no doubt Johnson killed Sizemore.
