"911입니다, 주소가 어디신가요?"
"123 Main street 에요."

"피자배달 주문을 하고싶은데요," (오 이런, 장난전화다)
"지금 911에 전화하셨어요."
"네, 알아요. 라지사이즈에 페퍼로니 반, 버섯 반 그리고 후추 추가할게요"
"음..... 죄송하지만, 911에 전화했다는 거 알고 계신거죠?"
"네, 얼마나 걸릴까요?"
"좋아요, 확실합니까? 지금 응급상황이 맞아요?"
"네, 맞아요."
"...그러면 말하지 못하는 이유가 당신 옆에 누군가 있기 때문인가요?" (깨달은 순간)
"네, 정확해요. 얼마나 걸릴까요?"
"그 장소에서 1마일 떨어진 곳에 경찰관이 있습니다. 당신 집에 어떤 무기가 있나요?"
"아뇨."
"경찰관이 도착할 때까지 전화하실 수 있나요?"
"아니요. 이따가 봐요. 고마워요"
전화가 끊긴 후, 나는 그 주소를 확인했고, 이전에 가정폭력 신고가 여러 번 접수 된 바
있다는 것을 알았다. 그 집에 도착한 경찰관은 한 연인을 발견했고, 여성은 얻어맞은 상태였으며
그녀의 남자친구는 만취상태였다. 경찰관은 그 남자를 체포했고 후에 여성이 설명한 바에
따르면 남자친구가 그녀를 잠시동안 폭행했다고 한다. 내 생각에 그녀는 정말 영리하게 트릭을 사용한 것 같다.
확실히, 가장 기억에 남는 신고전화중 하나이다.

I had a call that started out pretty dumb, but was actually pretty serious:
"911, where is you emergency?"
"123 Main St."
"Ok, what's going on there?"
"I'd like to order a pizza for delivery." (oh great, another prank call).
"Ma'am, you've reached 911"
"Yeah, I know. Can I have a large with half pepperoni, half mushroom and peppers?"
"Ummm…. I'm sorry, you know you've called 911 right?"
"Yeah, do you know how long it will be?"
"Ok, Ma'am, is everything ok over there? do you have an emergency?"
"Yes, I do."
"..And you can't talk about it because there's someone in the room with you?" (moment of realization)
"Yes, that's correct. Do you know how long it will be?"
"I have an officer about a mile from your location. Are there any weapons in your house?"
"Nope."
"Can you stay on the phone with me?"
"Nope. See you soon, thanks"
As we dispatch the call, I check the history at the address, and see there are multiple previous domestic violence calls. The officer arrives and finds a couple, female was kind of banged up, and boyfriend was drunk. Officer arrests him after she explains that the boyfriend had been beating her for a while. I thought she was pretty clever to use that trick. Definitely one of the most memorable calls.
