style="color:#009900;">함께 장래를 약속했던 마을의 총각이 미역이 나는 바위에 데려다 주고 다시 오겠다 약속 했건만</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">거세게 휘몰아치는 풍랑에는 감히 배를 타고 나갈 엄두 조차 내지 못했다.</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">그렇게 처녀가 죽고 난 후부터 이상하게도 바다에서 고기가 잡히지 않고 마을에는 뒤숭숭한 일만 자꾸 생겼다.</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">그러던 어느 날 한 노인의 꿈에 죽은 처녀가 현몽하여 소원이 있다 하며 바다에서 너무나 원통하게 죽어 한이 깊으니</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">마을에서 자신을 서낭으로 모시고 위해 달라고 하였다.</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">다음 날 그 노인은 현몽한 처녀의 이야기를 사람들에게 알리고 마을의 북쪽 해안으로 돌출된 언덕 끝 향나무를 신목으로 삼아</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">그 아래 제물을 진설하고 정성껏 제사를 지내주었다.</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">그렇게 제사를 지내고 난 후 마을 주민들은 어떤 효험이 있기를 기대했지만</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">아무런 변화도 없이 바다에서는 여전히 고기가 잡히지 않았다.</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">그러자 마을의 한 어부가 속이 상해 술을 마시고 집으로 돌아가던 중</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">홧김에 바다를 향해 오줌을 누고 집에 돌아가 잠들었다.</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">그런데 그의 꿈에 처녀가 나타나서 빨리 일어나 어장으로 나가보라며 잠을 깨웠다.</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">얼떨결에 일어난 어부가 어장으로 나가보니 그이 그물에는 고기가 가득 잡혀있었다.</span> </p> <p style="text-align:center;"> <span style="color:#009900;">실로 너무도 오랜만의 일이었다.</span>
