Is that a strange test to do when designing a device? I would assume when making something as thin as possible, that you have to start considering that issue. Seems like they really dropped the ball if it can happen unintentionally.

이말을들어보니 6플러스만 해당하는 사항이긴한데 큰폰만들기에는 알루미늄은 정답이아니였나봅니다..
HTC가 큰폰을 알루미늄을로 만들때 왜그렇게 무겁게까지 만들었는지 이해를 못했다고 보여지네요..

That is absolutely a test that should be performed during the product development cycle. I've had the opportunity to talk to a stress testing engineer at NOOK and they do look into the failure modes of each product. Things like the vibration limits, heat limits, drop tests, and different ways it can bend and many more failure modes are looked at in most companies.
당연히 저건 개발과정중에 테스트 되어야 했덩겅미..NOOK에서 일하던 피로파괴엔지니어 (?공학도가아니라 몰름)랑 이야기 나눴던적이 있는데 실제로 각 제품마다 부숴지는 과정(고장유형) 전부를 조사하더라고...진동한계라던가, 온도한계라던가 휘어짐실험 또한 대부분 회사의 제품 failure modes(고장유형조사실험) 항목이라고.. (후략)
결론 : 아이폰 6플러스는 문제가 있다 아무리 알루미늄이라지만 버튼부분의 홀부분에 대한 강도가 너무약하다는것은 반박불가할듯..
하지만 아이폰6는 괜찮으니 6를 지르시오....
사견 : 아이폰 6는 제법 튼튼하게 만들었으나 6플러스는 내구성검사도 안하고 그냥 크기만 늘리도록 디자이너한테 지시하고 끝낸듯.....
6플러스는 확실히 버튼 홀 크기가 더커지던데 그런거 계산못한것인듯..원인이...
