하지만 군스웜 얼라이언스라는 거대 얼라이언스의 한국인들이 모인 콥인 독도콥의 주도로

이 이벤트를 망쳐놓았죠

이벤트를 망치며 일종의 배틀 크라이인 DOKDO SUPREMERCY

를 마구 외쳤던 일이 있습니다

안녕 얘들아

오늘은 우리 입갤의 명물 독도콥이 과거의 시시한 팝콘과는 스케일을 달리하는 팦콘을 준비했어.

즐기길 바래

배경은 이래.

저번주 라카파스 프리깃 이벤트에서 알다시피 군스웜은 하피플릿으로 출격해서 일본인들의 이벤트를 망쳐 놨어.

그리고 로컬에 DOKDO SUPREMACY라고 외치며 군스웜은 승리선언을 했는데

이거에 대해서 빡친 니혼인들이 단체 페티션을 넣어서 DOKDO SUPREMACY라고 한 여러 군스웜 멤버 (현재 카운트중이지만 확인된 인원 20명 이상) 이 모두 CCP에게 경고를 먹었어.

CCP의 주장으로 이는 EULA 섹션 6C-2의 위반이며, 이 항목은 아래와 같아:

You may not use any abusive, defamatory, ethnically or racially offensive, harassing, harmful, hateful, obscene, offensive, sexually explicit, threatening or vulgar language. (Alternate spelling or partial masking of such words will be reprimanded in the same manner as the actual use of such words.)

이는 CCP 의 판단으로 DOKDO SUPREMACY ( 독도 짱짱맨 정도로 생각하면 될거야 ) 가 abusive, defamatory, ethnically or racially offensive, harassing, harmful, hateful, obscene, offensive, sexually explicit, threatening or vulgar 에 해당하는 공격적인 언행이라고 주장하는거야.

하나 웃기는 점은 이 경고를 한 GM Mace의 바이오를 보면 일본어 설명이 영어 위에 있는데, 일본어 설명이 먼저 오는걸로 미루어볼 때, 주로 일본 고객을 상담하는 GM이라는 점을 추측할수 있어. 

군스웜은 이 사건에서 CCP가 개인 감정을 이입해서 EULA관련 사항을 처리한다고 생각해.

이에 따라 우리가 보낸 정식 항의 메일은 아래와 같아

I have just received a news that many GSF members were warned by 'GM Mace' for breach of EULA section 6C policy 2. I am writing this to express deep concerns about this warnings.

We have worked together to find the common denominator behind all the warnings, and found out that players were warned for typing DOKDO SUPREMACY in local chat in Rakapas. This is a huge mistake in your policy enforcement; you are essentially taking a side in a conflict that involves South Korea's legitimacy and cultural identity.

Before I lay out my points, I wish to give you some background information and a crash-course on modern East Asian history, since it is apparent you have no idea how sensitive this is.

Korea was colonized by Japan in the 2nd world war and was a place where numerous war crimes were committed by Imperial Japan at the time. Some of the atrocities in this period include forceful recruitment of Korean male into their military, forcing young women to work as comfort women for Japanese military and conducting research of chemical weapons against human subjects. I wish to point out that there is no dispute in this historical records; it is something taken as fact internationally and something Japan had to answer for in their war crime trials post WW II.

While the military personnel who were responsible for these actions were charged for their crimes post WW II, there is one thing that Japan has yet to take responsibility for: attempts to wipe our history, culture and thus legitimacy of Korea as a nation. Some of their policy regarding this included forcefully giving Japanese names to Koreans, banning the use of our language in schools, ruining relics of historic importance and forcing Japanese placenames.

So how does this relate to what we said in local chat? you might ask.

Dokdo is THE symbol of such oppression and is the last remaining scar of colonization to the Koreans. It is the living evidence of their attempts in the past to deny our culture, history and our sovereignty of our own lands. It is the only place that to this day the conflicts of world war remains. It is a group of islands located between Korea and Japan that SOME of the Japanese political parties have not yet gave up on. More info can be found here:

Dokdo is simply the Korean name for Liancourt Rocks. It is not something offensive. Warning us for breach of EULA 6C-2 however, implies that CCP as a corporation also denies legitimacy of Modern Korean history, is biased in policy enforcement by supporting the claims of Japanese right wing party and wishes to take part in  international conflict that Iceland as a nation has no say on. I as a Korean take deep insult in such action by CCP.

I also want to point out that this is also something not even the most extreme right wing Japanese politicians have even dared to do; disputing sovereignty of the island is one thing, and taking actual actions in support of such claim is something that NO politicians in history has even DARED to do.

One close analogy that i can think of would be the following:

Palestinian corporation called GAZA says in local 'Free Gaza strip!' and gets official CCP warning. This is how absurd this decision is.

We take this as a challenge to our cultural heritage and request apology to everyone you have warned. We also request the warnings be lifted. 

Goonswarm Federation has, and is still continuing on organizational efforts to gather names of the players that GM Mace has sent warning mail to, and we are comparing the chatlogs to confirm our claim that CCP indeed warned players for saying 'DOKDO SUPREMACY'.

As someone who loves and enjoys this game so much, I wish not to have to go public with this. However, it is something we are willing and something we will gladly do, since the dearest iconography of our culture has been challenged.

한국은 20세기 초에 일본에 의해 식민지가 되었고 수많은 전쟁 범죄에 시달려왔어. 몇몇 극악무도한 잔혹행위를 알려주자면 남성은 병사로 쓰기 위해 강제로 징집당했고 젊은 여성은 위안부로 끌려갔으며 일본의 생물병기 실험채로 사용이 되었지. 이것은 분명 논쟁의 여지가 없고 국제적으로 받아들여지는 역사이며 2차 세계대전 이후 군사재판에서도 다뤄졌어.

독도는 간단히 Liancourt Rocks의 한국이름이야. 이것은 절대 누구에게도 모욕적인 단어가 아니야. 반대로 EULA 6C-2의 위반을 이유로 하는 경고는 일본 극우단체를 지지하는 행동이며 CCP회사가 대한민국 현대사의 정통성을 부정한다고 볼 수 있어. 아이슬란드는 국가로서 이러한 국제분쟁에 참여할 발언권이 없으며 이러한 경고는 한국인으로써 무시하지 못할 아주 큰 치욕이야

유사한 상황을 하나 들어보자.

GAZA라고 하는 팔레스타인 회사는 로컬에 “Free Gaza Strip!” 을 외쳤다는 이유만으로 CCP의 경고를 받았어. 이건 정말 터무니 없는 판단이야. 

우리는 이것을 우리 문화 유산에 대한 도전이라고 받아들이고 너희가 경고를 내렸던 모든 이들에게 사과 할 것과 내려진 경고를 철회할 것을 요구해.

군스웜 연합은 여태까지 GM Mace에게 경고를 받은 플레이어들의 명단을 수집하고 있으며 채팅 로그와 대조해서  “DOKDO Supremacy”라고 말한 플레이어들이 경고를 받았는지 확인하고 있어.

너희 게임을 사랑하고 즐기고 있는 한 플레이어로서 난 정말 이러한 문제를 공론화 하지 않고 싶어. 하지만 우리 문화에 대한 모욕은 우리가 기꺼이 공론화 할만한 사항이야.

그리고 오늘 이에 따른 답변에 CCP는 책임을 회피했고 공론화를 할거면 하라는 답변을 했어.

이에 따라 군스웜과 독도콥은 이 사건을 정식으로 공론화 하려고 하며, 미타니와 군스웜 외교팀의 협조로 미타니닷컴 기사 외 여러군데에 이 정보를 전달 하려고 해.

너희도 이런 사건이 있었다는 점을 인지하고 부당하게 CCP에게 경고를 받고 독도를 독도라 칭한것 만으로 EULA위반이 된다고 주장하는 말도 안되는 이 사건을 공론화 하는데 도움줬으면 해.
