저는 대한민국에 사는 한 청년입니다.
I am a South Korean young man.

이번 올림픽 남자 축구경기 동메달 결정전 종료 직 후 
세리머니 과정에서 박종우 선수가 '독도는 우리땅' 이라는
문구가 적힌 플랜카드를 들었다는 행위가 IOC 규정위반이라는 이유로 
IOC 혹은 FIFA에서 조사에 착수한다고 들었습니다.
I heard that FIFA or IOC organization would start investigation on the event that
South Korean soccer player Jongwoo Park held a placard
with a phrase “Dokdo is Korean territory” written on it
when he was performing a ceremony right after the bronze final of men’s soccer game of 2012 London Olympic ended with the victory of South Korea.

대한민국 역사상 독도는 엄연히 대한민국 영토로 기록되어 있습니다.
I believe that you people would find that Dokdo is clearly and obviously South Korean territory if you consider all of the historical sources of Korea and other countries, even Japan.

우리나라 선수가 우리나라 영토라고 주장하는데 무슨 문제 될것이 있습니까?
Therefore, I seriously cannot understand that there is the problem about the action of the player.

그렇기 때문에 별 문제가 되지 않는다고 생각합니다.
Is there any problem with a player who is claiming a reasonable territory ownership of his nation?

한편, 대한민국과 일본의 경기에서 일어나는 '욱일승천기'의 등장에는 문제가 있습니다.
Meanwhile, there is a problem with the use of Rising Sun Flag in the game between South Korea and Japan.

욱일승천기는 일본의 군국주의와 식민주의를 상징하는 깃발입니다.
Rising Sun Flag is a flag that represent the militarism and colonialism of Japan.

조국의 식민지화를 겪었던 한국사람들은 일본사람들이 한일전에서 욱일승천기를 흔들며 자신들의 나라를 응원하는 것을 볼때마다 가슴이 아프고 분통이 터집니다.
Korean people, who underwent the colonialization of their country by Japan, get enraged and feel sore at their heart when they see Japanese people cheering their country waving the Rising Sun Flag, even in the game between South Korea and Japan.

이번 동메달 결정전에서도 일어난 욱일승천기의 사용은 정치적 분쟁을 일으킬 소지가 충분히 있는데요.
The use of Rising Sun Flag that also appeared in this bronze final is wrong enough to raise political dispute.

나치깃발은 눈에 보이기만 해도 팔짝 뛰시더니 왜 욱일승천기에는 그리도 관대하십니까.
I heard that you people were extremely strict about the use of Nazi Flag, but why are you so relaxed on the same matter?

결론은, 우리의 영토를 우리나라 선수가 세계에 확인시켜주는 퍼포먼스가 결코 문제될 것이 없다는 것입니다. 
In conclusion, there is NOT any problem with a South Korean player’s performance of confirming the undoubted ownership of his nation’s territory.

조사하신다면 제대로 하셔서 국제사회에 독도가 대한민국 영토임을 증명하여 널리 알려주십시오. 감사합니다.
If you would investigate on this issue, I want you ladies and gentlemen to make a thorough investigation so that you could prove the fact that Dokdo is obviously Korean territory and let all the people know the truth.
