원곡은 2000년 류승환 감독이 저예산 독립영화로 선보인 '죽거나 혹은 나쁘거나'의 엔딩 테마곡으로 삽입되었던 곡이다. 영화의 OST는 한국의 대표적 헤비메탈 보컬리스트로서 각인된 이시영과 그의 오랜 동료이자 키보디스트인 김동규가 공동으로 작업하였다. 영화 음악에선 잔잔한 피아노 선율에 무덤덤하면서도 절망적인 어조로 담담히 불렀었는데, 본 포스트의 음악은 이시영이 그의 밴드 '모비딕'과 함께 약간의 색깔을 더하여 다시 연주하였다.
