I’d like to start my presentation.
the subject of my presentation is my favorite movie of all time.
I like movies. Especially I like to watch movies at home alone.
There are many people in Korea who are interested in watching movies.
Of course I am one of them.
everyone probably has a favorite movie of all time.
my favorite movie of all time is ‘The Handmaiden’.
(There are several movies besides this movie, but today I would like to talk about
this movie.)
‘The Handmaiden’ is a great movie with excellent direction, mise en scène, and actors' performance.
This film is perhaps the most kind and beautiful movie of Park Chan-wook's movie.
It’s a romantic period piece, as well as a sexy spy thriller.
The biggest reason why I like this movie is the mise en scène.
Every set, clothes, furniture in the movie is beautiful.
I especially like this study set a lot. This space makes the feelings of liberation and freedom of the two female protagonists.
And another reason is that this movie made me know the actor Kim Tae Ri.
She became my favorite actor. Like the movie she showed, she was a cool and beautiful woman. I will continue to like her.
I hope that the genre of Korean movies will become more diverse.
I would like to get out of the male-centric movie and come out with a lot of female-centric movie like The Handmaiden.
