Dubbed “sh*itty Charmander”, or “shartmander”, the man’s terrible tattoo took off and achieved full meme status. Before you knew it, the ugly Charmander was turned into dolls, pictures, Photoshops, and even jewelry. Of course, some astute Reddit commenters quickly pointed out that the tattoo was probably not just a totally awful version of regular Charmander, it was a not-great version of Tim Burton-inspired Pokémon from artist Vaughn Pinpin.
